Grant funds helped purchase supplies for students to build raised garden beds, and in doing so, learn about the science of soil health and photosynthesis, and how to care for/ grow fruits and vegetables. Culinary classes are also involved- composting their food scraps for the raised gardens and using the vegetables in cooking class.
